Beautiful graphs on long term temperatures

JoNova as published a guest post by David Lapp, a geologist from Alaska, where they show a beautiful set of graphs–including the one of the last 10,000 years in Greenland that you see above.

The article, The big picture: 65 million years of temperature swings, also includes graphs and explanations on “65 million years of cooling” and “5 million years of cooling.” Definitely worth reading and bookmarking.

  1. Rupert says:

Has anyone in the AGW camp who denies the medieval warming period ever wondered why the island was named Greenland (in 1000BC) rather than Snowland or Iceland?

  2. John D. Nier says:

They think it was named Greenland because that is where the first recycling center was located, according to Al. :-)
