Hide the Decline Explained

Of course we all know the now ubiquitous phrase “Hide the Decline” as referring to the “climategate” scientists fudging numbers in order to hide the declines in temperatures. But what’s the simplest way to show your non-technical buddies the fraudulent intent of these man-made global warming proponents? Well, the computer programmers who wrote the code to calculate the climate models can tell your friends themselves.

Anthony Watt’s ever-excellent site WattsUPWithThat.com in late November published a “compendium of programming code segments that show comments by the programmer that suggest places where data may be corrected, modified, adjusted, or busted.”

You don’t need to to be a programmer to understand the intent in the plain English comments that exist in the code. Watts Up With That? has them all listed on the page for you so head over there, after this example whets your appetite:
