… My contribution to the 2007 report illustrates the scientific problem. The report’s first table of figures – inserted by the IPCC’s bureaucrats after the scientists had finalized the draft, and without their consent – listed four contributions to sea-level rise. The bureaucrats had multiplied the effect of melting ice from the Greenland and West Antarctic Ice Sheets by 10.

The result of this dishonest political tampering with the science was that the sum of the four items in the offending table was more than twice the IPCC’s published total. Until I wrote to point out the error, no one had noticed. The IPCC, on receiving my letter, quietly corrected, moved and relabeled the erroneous table, posting the new version on the internet and earning me my Nobel prize.

His contribution to the IPCC’s Fourth Assessment Report in 2007 – the correction of a table inserted by IPCC bureaucrats that had overstated tenfold the observed contribution of the Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheets to sea-level rise – earned him the status of Nobel Peace Laureate.

His Nobel prize pin, made of gold recovered from a physics experiment, was presented to him by the Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Rochester, New York, USA.

Lord Monckton’s claim to the Nobel Peace Prize seems to be a send-up of both the Prize and the IPCC. Indeed, he has stated in more than one interview, when questioned directly about the matter that the claim is a joke.

Lord Monckton, a prominent climate sceptic, is on a sponsored speaking tour to undermine support for carbon emissions cuts. Quizzed about his alleged Nobel status by the Herald yesterday, the British peer said ”it was a joke, a joke” and never meant to be taken seriously.

The jocular admission was made several hours after he had said with a straight face on the Alan Jones radio program that he had been awarded the Nobel – a claim Jones did not question.

Monckton admitted it was a joke. Regardless compared to the lies of Al Gore, Phil Jones, Michael Mann, et all, it pales in comparison.

Now go drum up some more techical BS to try and make your point.
