Met Office staffer still says this will be “warmest winter in living memory”

“This will be the warmest winter in living memory, the data has already been recorded. For your information, we take the highest 15 readings between November and March and then produce an average. As November was a very seasonally warm month, then all the data will come from those readings.”

These are the words of one of Britain’s Met Office employees on this winter in the UK. No, it was not made month’s ago, before the nation was covered in snow. It was not made even days before the temperatures plummeted. Believe it or not, it was said just a week ago on an internet posting to a newspaper.

So they only look at the highs, and they ignore the lows. It reminds of the the cherry-picking of the weather stations in Russia.

The global warmists are propagandists with an unalterable conclusion in search (and the manipulation) of data to support it. We hope they keep on talking, it only serves to make them look more like the fraudsters they are.

The immense contempt these lackeys of the fraudsters show for our intelligence is unbelievable!

You couldn’t make it up could you !

  3. JOHN says:

These people take FUBAR to a whole new level. Then they wonder why we don’t believe a damn thing they spout out. At this point before I’d believe anyone about the earth getting warmer I’d have to have them hooked up to a lie detector.

  4. mike t says:

I now appears that someone did make it up

This quote now seems to be widely believed amongst sceptics to be a joke. Unfortunately, it’s all too believable so it keeps re-emerging as if it were true.

  6. Does anyone have a link directly to the comments that are said to have been posted by the Met staffer?

Where were they posted? When exactly?

  7. JOHN says:

These aren’t the “comments” but read at the the bottom. Should give you a clue about The Met Office.

The UK Met office and Universities are losing a lot of credibility. In a country that suffers almost entirely from cold weather extremes it is not clear why there is so much global warming extremism based there. On the other hand the ordinary folk have always held a very skeptical approach to the global warming hoax.

Anyway, the global warming extremist views of the Met Office and the University of East Anglia have come back to haunt the UK again this winter. If they are claiming this winter as the warmest on record next winter will have to be a mini ice age for them to declare a normal winter. If the sun shines for one day this summer it will be declared the warmest summer in th UK’s history, yet not that long ago it was perfectly normal to have sunny and hot summers.

Data manipulation is the tool of the extremist environmental terrorists, that and hiding real temperature declines, destroying raw data and preventing peer reviews of contradictory data.

  9. Tel says:

People generally remember the worst of their experiences most vividly and at the end of this winter, Englishmen will not remember a few balmy days in November. They will remember freezing in their shoes waiting for the bus, sliding around on roads of ice, digging the car out of snow and the people who are dead now because they weren’t prepared for such a cold snap.

I really hope that the Met office come out in public and call it the warmest winter on record to thus ensure that nobody believes their reports anymore. Then we will be in a position to consider strategies for rebuilding.

  10. ADE says:

This winter WILL be the warmest in living memory to a 9 month old child or to a PEABRAINED [green] scientist based at Hadley or East Angia scammers club.

  11. Marlene Anderson says:

Awesome. Just awesome. The Met already had the winter figured out with Nov data? I can’t begin to guess what kind of mental gymnastics it takes to create that kind of logic. Then to actually believe it and say it out loud. In public. Unbelievable.

  12. Dodgy Geezer says:

If you think about it, this can’t possibly be true.

Such a technique would just measure the first 15 days of November for a typical year. The original post must have been a hoax, and the Telegraph newspaper were foolish to print it.

It does the skeptic cause no good at all if we repeat hoaxes as if they were real. It makes us look as if we are just as bad as the warmists….
