Are we dreaming? New York Times takes on Pachauri.

What the hell? The New York Times is attacking Rajendra Pachauri and quoting Dr. Roger A. Pielke Jr! Read it quick before the they realize their mistake and take it off the site.

I’d say this article is about 70% for him and only 30% against. They do their part to defend him quite a bit. For example:

“The panel was also criticized for citing a study about financial losses after extreme weather events that found an increase in such losses of 2 percent a year from 1970 to 2005. That study had not been peer reviewed at the time, although it was later on.”

They forgot to mention how later on it was reviewed and the author retracted it, saying there was no conclusive evidence for global warming causing said disasters.
