Pachauri: “I know a lot of climate sceptics are after my blood”
In a TimesOnline story today, Indian head of the UN climate panel Dr Rajendra Pachauri defended their on the embarrassing retraction of a prediction that Himalayan glaciers could disappear by 2035. But, he also warned that that there may be further errors.
Obviously feeling the heat, he reacted defensively:
“I know a lot of climate sceptics are after my blood, but I’m in no mood to oblige them. It was a collective failure by a number of people,” he said. “I need to consider what action to take, but that will take several weeks. It’s best to think with a cool head, rather than shoot from the hip.”
Cool heads on global warming? Not in the UN.

He can keep the blood but I think we would all appreciate the money being paid back.
Perhaps Railroad Engineer Pachauri would understand it better if someone told him that the boiler is about to burst. You just never know where a slug will surface after being rationalized out of a life sinecure with Inda Rail.
So, he has stopped calling them ‘deniers’? He knows his days are numbered!
