Positioned to educate new skeptics

We started publishing climategate.com just last month, but we’ve already made it to the first page of Google, Bing and Yahoo for the search “climategate.” At the moment, we are #4 on Google, #3 on Bing and #1 on Yahoo. It’s great to know that when someone searches for the term, they will find a website devoted to the subject, with a skeptical point of view, and not be fed Wikipedia-type propaganda.

High search engine ranking is kind of a science, and fortunately something we understand. One of the many factors that has helped us attain high ranking so quickly is the the number of people not only visiting the site, but also the number of other sites that have linked to our’s. The more (and the larger the better) sites that link to us, the more importance search engines give it. That’s where you can help keep the word Climategate alive, by helping us stay on page one of the search engines–if you have a site yourself, please place a link to climategate.com, and if you are a reader of another site related to climategate, political topics, science, and the like, please send a note to the administrator to add us to their blogroll. We’re lucky (and considerably poorer with the purchase) of this great domain name. When someone searches for “climategate,” sees us on the first page, with the same exact name as their search term, they are going to click to check it out. So, friends, we have the first chance to educate those seeking information on climategate. Mission accomplished.

One other thing: I want to sincerely thank those of you that have sent in donations. The money really helps with the growing dedicated server bill and helps me justify to my wife why I’m working for about fifty cents an hour of ad “revenue,” if one can call it that amount revenue. :)

Many thanks,
Editor

I am not in a position to donate just now, but I have read every one of your postings. Good luck, and hopefully at least a couple of good years running for you!

… cause we don’t really need to be fighting these Idiots forever.

  2. I’m proud of what we’ve all achieved in such a short time. To see how a community of like-minded people, all intent on seeing truth, transparency and integrity restored to government funded science, can grow so fast on a shoestring budget is remarkable. That so many people from all round the world can pull together and find common purpose, despite a hostile mainstream media, proves the golden age of the Internet has arrived.

The key to our success is down to our readers and their invaluable contributions; they support and inform us and help spread the word far and wide – that’s what truly inspires me and encourages us to keep fighting for this noble cause.
