Prince Charles is a denier…of recent revelations

Above: The Royal Train spewing pollution into the atmosphere

Today Prince Charles spoke on the evils of man-made global warming skeptics, after arriving in Manchester by Royal Train pulled by a coal-fired steam locomotive, named the Tornado, which was rebuilt from a 1948 design. The UK Express has the story, but to get the full feeling of the ignorance of this man, we just pulled his quotes for you to read.

“I have watched with growing dismay and alarm the glee with which the sceptics have leapt upon the recent news stories that question the science that climate change is man-made and suggesting it is nothing more than a myth.”

“Well, if it is but a myth, and the global scientific community is involved in some sort of conspiracy, why is it then that around the globe sea levels are more than six inches higher than they were 100 years ago?”

“This isn’t an opinion – it is a fact.”

“And, ladies and gentlemen please be in no doubt that the evidence of long-term and potentially irreversible changes to our world is utterly overwhelming.”

“But I trust we do all know that these wonderful innovations [steam engines] carried with them a long-term cost that nobody at the time could possibly have foreseen.”

“I don’t know about you, ladies and gentlemen, but I happen to mind very much about the sort of world in which my children and grandchildren – and yours – will be living.”

“For all of them, I believe we have a great responsibility to do the right thing by them and so I, for one, am not prepared to play some sort of Russian roulette with their futures.”

We were worried about Prince Charles’ green rep, riding on that pollution-spewing locomotive, but we felt better after it passed by in the video above, and we noticed the bumper sticker on the caboose: “My other car is a Prius.”

Who would care what this fool thinks? Even his own mother won’t let him be King.

One just has to look at his sadly deceased first wife Dianna and look at the hag he is married to now to know this guy is one SICK PUPPY.

You are talking about the Prince of our Country… but you a right he’s a complete plank!

Dr Pachauri – Prince Charles – is that the best they’ve got ?

De Boer described Pachauri as a “tall tree that can collect lot of wind”

Yes – he’s full of wind alright. I can only believe that something got lost in translation.

Ah.. this explains why I was held up outside Cheadle Hulme for half an hour yesterday. Whilst waiting, sitting next to me was a man in an anorak wearing a badge saying ‘Viaducts Have Great Curves’. He told me in much more detail than I will relate here that an Act of Parliament was passed in 1840 stating that all trains that pass through Stockport must stop at the town’s station. This was to compensate the people for the building of the large viaduct across the Mersey. The Department of Transport reversed this without consulting the good people of Stockport and Stockport Council and without an Act of Parliament in 2007. Stockport Council backed by the Local Chamber of Commerce raised a petition to reverse this decision (sadly unsuccessful). Now I would never argue with a man in an anorak, but I did check this on the Internet and it is all true.

Therefore nice of the Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and assorted flunkies to show solidarity with the townsfolk of Stockport by whizzing through Stockport Station and turning it into a fume cupboard leaving the waiting passengers coughing and spluttering. Oh, and thanks for making me late for work Charlie!

As a UK resident I am as ardent a monarchist as anyone but quite frankly I feel that Charles is an embarrassment, so unlike his mother our Queen who has never put a foot wrong in her whole reign. When she left London for Sandringham in Norfolk before Christmas she went on a normal scheduled electric service train from Liverpool Street station.

Yes, I know steam locos are polluting but that was still a great sight! Did anyone else notice the powerful class 67 diesel locomotive on standby duty at the rear of the train? So there were two locomotives powering that train even if the diesel was in idling mode.

I believe the locomotive Tonado was built from scratch (from a 1948 design) not “rebuilt”. Credit to its constructors, please.

When Charlie visited CRU he didn’t seem to mind associating with known criminals, and telling them to keep a stiff upper lip. Probably aware his mum didn’t have enough room to lock them up if the feeble ICO/CPS did take action. I would however think that London Tower is little used and deserving of some new occupants

Weren’t the Monarchs (generally) the best educated people at one point in a distant past (maybe round about MWP)?

    • Yertizz says:

If you give an idiot an expensive education, you finish up with an educated idiot.

      Charles is a classic example!

      • JOHN says:

        Yertizz – - – - Good explanation!

Unfortunately they don’t teach common sense in schools so we get what I call self-perpetuating idiocy.

        • Yertizz says:

          Thanks, John.

For ‘…self-perpetuating idiocy…’ read Political Correctness which means no-one is allowed to be judgemental.

          Ergo….the strangulation of Common Sense.

Did you know, incidentally that judges in English courts are banned from using the phrase Common Sense? Not only scary, but totally idiotic….which is where I came in……

  9. Draughtsman says:

Martin – you are absolutely right. It is an A1 Pepperorn Pacific locomotive that took nineteen years for a team of enthusiasts and engineers to build from scratch. It is a wonderful achievement and I join with you in doffing my hat to them. I expect that Charles was complimenting their efforts in having his train hauled by their locomotive.

  10. JOHN says:

Prince Charles is green…he put lots of nice C02 into the air so plants and trees will grow better. :-)

  11. Tel says:

The power of the steam engine, the reign of Queen Victoria and Good Prince Albert… icons of an age where Britain was looked up to by the entire world.

Prince Charles, icon of, ummm, well let’s just say things have changed a bit.
