Questions & Answers
We are just starting this new page today (01/13/10). While we’ve only got one Q&A up so far, we thought it such a good idea, we are setting in up anyway and will add to it as we go.
The idea began when someone wrote in and asked us “If global warming is a farce, why is the ice melting in the arctic?” We decided to pose that question to our readers and were very pleasantly surprised to see how quickly and thoroughly they provided answers. We recognize just how informed our readers are, so we want to expand upon this idea by setting up pages for more questions that are common from both people confused about climate change and those true believers who wish to challenge the skeptics.
So, here is how you can help:
1. Give us some ideas of what good Questions would be, by writing them up in a comment on this page.
2. Go to the Questions page and add your answer to the question. It can be your own writing and/or links to resources that specifically answer the question.
The Questions:
- Were the East Anglia emails that began Climategate, hacked or leaked?
- If global warming is a farce, why is the ice melting in the arctic? (this one is actually an article)
- Are polar bears really in danger?
- Are we entering a prolonged cooling period?
- Did it get hotter in the last decade?
- Which data sources should I trust?
- Who is making money off climate change?
- What’s the big deal about the CRU emails?
- In the 1991 eruption of Mt Pinatubo, is there any credible information as to how much CO2 was released?
- Is the last decade, ending 2009, really the warmest decade on record?
