Segment 1 of 5. Click page numbers at bottom of article for the rest.

Last night KUSI TV, presented “Global Warming: The Other Side,” a watershed program on the global warming/climate change controversy what is likely to become a classic. Presenter, John Coleman, meteorologist and iconic weatherman who founded the Weather Channel gave us a shocking exposition of the climate fraud story right from the early years when “big oil” front man, Maurice Strong used his position within the United nations in the 1970’s to push the environmental agenda and takes viewers through to the present and the ongoing Climategate emails scandal that broke last November in England.

Coleman’s show is a thorough debunking of junk climate science and reveals how crooked climatologists used chicanery to hype up the climate issue to the point of hysteria. Regular readers of Climategate.com may feel a sense of déjà vu when watching part 4 of the online version of the show when Coleman interviews computer programmer, and very fine climate blogger, E. Michael Smith (aka chiefio), and will recall my article of January 5, 2010, Crooked climatologists drop 806 (cold?) weather stations in a single year in which we scooped KUSI on this story. It was chiefio’s excellent research that inspired us here at Climategate.com to bring you the story first.

E.M. “Chiefio” Smith and Certified Consulting Meteorologist, Joseph D’Aleo join the program to tell us about their breakthrough investigation into the manipulations of data at the NASA Goddard Science and Space Institute at Columbia University in New York and the NOAA National Climate Data Center in Ashville, North Carolina.

The two analysts show how the number of actual weather observation points used as a starting point for world average temperatures calculations was reduced from about 6,000 in the 1970s to about 1,500 now. “That leaves much of the world unaccounted for. The greatest losses were in areas where NOAA and the other data centers claim the warming was the greatest like Siberia and Canada,” according to D’Aleo, who adds “In these regions, NOAA ‘estimates’ temperatures based on stations that may be 700 miles away.”

E.Michael Smith notes “When doing a benchmark test of the program, I found patterns in the input data from NCDC that looked like dramatic and selective deletions of thermometers from cold locations.” Smith says after awhile, it became clear this was not a random strange pattern he was finding, but a well designed and orchestrated manipulation process. “The more I looked, the more I found patterns of deletion that could not be accidental. Thermometers moved from cold mountains to warm beaches; from Siberian Arctic to more southerly locations, and from pristine rural locations to jet airport tarmacs. The last remaining Arctic thermometer in Canada is in a place called ‘The Garden Spot of the Arctic,’ always moving away from the cold and toward the heat. I could not believe it was so blatant and it clearly looked like it was in support of an agenda,” Smith says

D’Aleo asserts that the data manipulation is “scientific travesty” that was committed by activist scientists to advance the global warming agenda. I urge all readers inspired by the film to write to your elected representatives to point out your disgust at the way your tax dollars have been corruptly used to finance junk science propaganda. Feel free, if you wish, to use my letter to the UK Climate Minister, Joan Ruddock that we published the other day if it helps get your point across.

“Global Warming: The Other Side” is sure to be watched countless times on the Internet and will cause huge embarrassment to the green lobby that advocates steep cap and trade taxes. A detailed follow up to the program is planned and will be posted on the Science and Public Policy Institute website in the near future.

Weather Channel founder John Coleman doesn't expect any of the scientists caught by the Climategate leak to admit “I was wrong” anytime soon.

This simple three-word phrase is almost impossible to say because it changes everything. It is easiest for a child to say it — after all, a child isn’t expected to be right about things. But the higher you climb through life, the more difficult it becomes to admit being wrong. It would be devastating for a president of the United States to say it: “I was wrong.” And it may be about as difficult for an established, respected scientist who does research at an institution funded by millions of tax dollars. That is why I don’t expect any of the scientists caught by the Climategate leak to admit “I was wrong” anytime soon…
