The Crying Dutchman unexpectedly steps down as UN climate chief
Yvo de Boer, the UN official who oversaw four years of climate talks has suddenly quit his post. He claims disappointing Copenhagen outcome was unrelated to decision, but it doesn’t sound that way:
De Boer said that he was not quitting the key UN Framework convention on climate change (UNFCCC) post because the Copenhagen climate talks in December were widely seen as a failure. “We were about an inch away from a formal agreement. It was basically in our grasp, but it didn’t happen. So that was a pity,” he said.
But he was known to have been frustrated by the outcome, and doubtful whether anyone could steer through a major global agreement between wildly diverging rich and poor countries. Today he said hat the talks were “on track,” but that he was uncertain that a full treaty could be finalised this year.
De Boer became known as “the crying Dutchman” after he broke down in tears at the end of the Bali UN climate conference in 2006. But is the world’s most experienced climate change negotiator and the UN faces a difficult task finding a replacement at this late stage in what have been called the most complex negotiations that have been attempted under the UN system.
Bye, bye. Now, who next?

Considering the whole scam has beencompletely and convincingly exposed and is on the verge of being wound up we should see many more resignations and born again honest conversions to THE CLIMATE TRUTH.
We need watch where De Boer and people like him go next, will they find another ‘Scam’ to work, another oppurtunity to get into public purse? It shoud be part of our activities to follow these wolves. We know there is no place for sheep dogs in MSM so we must take on that task.
The more interesting fact is where he’s going to.
Let me mention some things he won’r be doing (as far as I know)
1) Treating polar bears distressed by heat exhaustion
2) Covering Himalayan glaciers in heat reflective material to stop them melting
3) Assisting in the re-siting of climate stations
Strangely enough it is none of these things. I don’t think his career choice will come as a surprise.
I think we should get together and send him a box of tissues so he can wipe the tears away. Or, should we be green and send up a cotton handkerchief?
UK Telegraph:
“However after four years in the post he has decided to step down to go and work for global accounting firm KPMG.”
Perhaps he’ll keep track of how fast the price of carbon credits is dropping?
With apologies to Motown: ~ “it’s my party an’ I’ll cry if I want too, cry if I want to”!
But, hey look on the bright side; there’s an opening for the about to be former Chair (and current froot loop number 1) of the IPCC
See, every cloud, even toxic ones contaminated by CO2 has a silver lining!
